Who knew searching for a new laptop would be so time consuming 😖. My current laptop works fine for the most part, but battery drain has been a problem, one of the keys is broken, and the trackpad has been wonky for a while now. I also bought my laptop when AI wasn't a thing, so it's been weird seeing so much AI being pushed in the current gen of laptops. In addition to that, the prices are still as high as ever (ugh).
Thankfully, transferring my files over won't be a headache. I found out that the cloud service I use can copy everything on my laptop. I didn't see a need to use cloud for a really long time - mainly because I'm old school and didn't want to add yet another thing to my rotation. But as my small business started to grow and I began drawing again, signing up for a cloud service just made sense. It's also been much easier sharing photos with my family, especially since we have a mix of Android and Apple phones.
Anyhow, I've been making small updates to my website. Might change some things around again, but I'm satisfied with how everything looks for now! I also thought to add my Substack on the main page through a widget that thankfully works great. Substack is where I publish my short essays and reviews. Tomorrow, I'm watching Backrooms with my nephew, so I'll likely post a short film review on there.
Later today, I'll finally start my domain transfer from Wordpress to Nekoweb!
